Basque Fund: Association of local authorities from the Basque country for international cooperation

Euskal Fondoa was created in 1996 as a tool for the coordination and support of decentralized cooperation in the Spanish Basque Country. The association gathers all local experiences and works for the development of solidary relationships with institutions, social organisations and communities from the South.

Since December 2000, Euskal Fondoa has had an Agreement together with the Association of Basques Municipalities (EUDEL) and the Basque government. This agreement pursues objectives such as the strengthening of coordination of Basque Public Institutions and the complementarity of their efforts in the fields of international development cooperation, as well as the promotion of a cohesive image of Basque Public Cooperation.
