ANCI, the National Association of Italian Municipalities, is a voluntary, non-profit association, aimed at representing and defending the municipalities’ interests, lobbying parliament, EU bodies, but also the government, regions, and Italian public administration. In the international field, ANCI encourages and co-ordinates the activities of its members.
Created in 1901, ANCI represents nowadays over 90% of the population, gathering more than 7,300 Italian municipalities.
ANCI municipalities’ activities are mostly concentrated in the Balkans, the Middle-East and Africa, and also in Latin- America and Asia.
