With this event, the German Association of Cities wants to create a forum for a cross-border exchange between German council members and council members from Ghana, South Africa, Kenia and Malawi. The aim is to exchange information about political mandates, possibilities of shaping, working conditions and to discover new perspectives for the respective political honorary office.

Together with you, we want to explore the various options available to you as part of your political mandate. Building on last year’s positive experiences, we have chosen a highly interactive format that draws on your experience and expertise.

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda are the focus of our exchange. We would like to take a look at the sustainable city of the future together with you. In consultation with the participants, we want to focus in particular on SDG 11 and aspects of SDG 16.
