#LocalizingSDGs report 2026 | Survey to partners
After ten years of implementation efforts, progress towards the localisation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is still at a critical point. According to the United Nations The Sustainable Development Goals Report 2025, «only 35% of SDG targets are on track or making modest gains. Nearly half are progressing too slowly, and alarmingly, 18% are in reverse”. Stronger efforts at all levels are needed. Moreover, local governments must continue to assert their place on the international stage through ongoing dialogue and concrete action.
Since the localisation of the SDGs and the 2030 Agenda is a key priority for all of us at PLATFORMA and CEMR, it is already time to update our annual report. Moreover, SDG 11 “Sustainable Cities and Communities: make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable” is under review this year, a key SDG for local and regional governments.
To facilitate this, we have created a new digital survey. The results will be presented as every year at the United Nations High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) in New York in July.
The digital survey is available in English but through the link, you can also download translated versions in French and Spanish. We encourage you to share your input by 11 March 2026.
