We team up with the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe to shape a sustainable future
For their 10th edition, our European Days of Local Solidarity (EDLS) join forces with the Global Education Week, an international awareness raising initiativefunded by the European Union and the Council of Europe.
This campaign, which is taking place annually during the third week of November, is a call to rethink our world together: using Global Education as a tool for solidarity and change, and contributing to a more sustainable and equitable world.
“There is no doubt that many synergies exist between our two initiatives, the Global Education Week and the EDLS,” said Rocío Ballesta Orta, Officer in charge of Development Education & Awareness Raising at PLATFORMA. “Global Education fosters solidarity and transformative change; this is the central tool to promote the international action of cities and regions across the world. Teaming up with the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe was evidence to move forward and continue promoting our key messages.”
