UN Africa Climate Week / FMDV – High-level side event
High-level side event «Unlocking finance for urban and territorial climate resilience in Africa» to be held as part of the United Nations Africa Climate Week in preparation of the Glasgow COP 26.
From 6 PM to 8 PM (EAT-Kampala Time).
English/French interpretation available.
This side event will gather high-level speakers: Mayors, leaders representing the United Nations, the Western African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU), Ministries, Development Finance institutions and private investors. It will showcase innovative policies and solutions to address the barriers on financing low carbon urban transition in Africa.
The discussion will be structured around the following questions:
1) What innovative strategies, policies and solutions to finance the climate transition in African cities and territories?
2) What renewed multi stakeholder partnerships to finance the climate transition in African cities and territories?
