Global Goals Meet Up, by VNG
Registration is open! VNG is organising its second annual Global Goals Municipalities Meet Up on 11 March following the successful launch of the Get together event in 2020.
This Meet Up will be filled with inspiring guests who will discuss, stimulate and exchange about the implementation of the SDGs at the local level, including VNG Chair and Mayor Jan van Zanen (The Hague) and Emilia Saíz, Secretary-general of United Cities and Local Governments.
In addition to the plenary sessions in English, we will dive into several specific topics and challenges such as social inclusion, partnerships, education and others during the different break-out sessions.
There will be one break-out session in English: this international session (13.45 – 14.40 CET), co-hosted by PLATFORMA (Sarah Bentz), is organised around the following topic at hand: “Joint local action: increase global impact from the municipal level through cooperation”, with different motivational examples of using SDGs in international cooperation.
The session is specifically geared towards the exploration of future cooperation to increase the global impact connected to the 2030 Agenda.
Join this inspiring event to meet like-minded colleagues and to learn about expanding our collective impact as local governments.
