Cités Unies France – ‘The internationalisation of towns & regions’ meeting
The internationalisation of towns & regions meeting (Rencontres de l’internationalisation des collectivités territoriales) will be held on 9 and 10 October 2017 at the Pavillon d’Armenonville in Paris (France).
Last year, more than 1,500 participants from more than 50 foreign countries took part to the 40 conferences and country focus meetings organised over two days by Cités Unies France (CUF)during its 7th Forum of the international action of local authorities. Following the «almost natural evolution» of its annual international event, Cités Unies France has decided to move towards a new model that is now called ‘The internationalisation of towns & regions’ meeting (or Rencontres de l’internationalisation des collectivités territoriales). This summit should reflect the realities of a more and more interdependent world where local governments play an increasingly prominent and recognized role.
This summit is organised with Cités Unies France historical partners: the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development, the French Development Agency (AFD), PLATFORMA and the European Commission.
