“Shaping green, resilient and sustainable urban areas in Europe by 2030” – Networking event (ICC Room 8 – Session code: NE 128), 14:30-16:00 CEST
Panel session
CEMR is organising a Networking event on “Shaping green, resilient and sustainable urban areas in Europe by 2030”. We are at a critical moment to assess how we delivered so far, at the local level and how long is the road ahead towards the Sustainable Development Goals and the objectives of the UN Urban Agenda. This session will look at the necessary actions and relevant level of actions to achieve net-zero emission urban areas, possibilities for municipalities and regions to finance their green and just transition, and existing initiatives in Europe, amongst others.
The World Urban Forum (WUF) is the biggest global conference on sustainable urbanisation. WUF11 will be held in the Polish city of Katowice from 26-30 June 2022. This will be the first time that the WUF, convened by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), will take place in central Europe.
It is still possible to register to the WUF11 at the following link before 22 June.
