NALAS-NALAG Peer exchange | the role of municipalities in the integration of vulnerable groups
The localisation of Human Rights and the role of municipalities in the integration of vulnerable groups in local social, political and cultural life in Georgia, Bulgaria, Serbia and Türkiye was the focus of a peer exchange organised by the Network of Associations of Local Authorities of South-East Europe (NALAS) with the National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia (NALAG) in December 2022 in Brussels.
The aims of NALAS series of Peer exchanges organised with the national associations of Georgia (NALAG), Moldova (CALM), and Ukraine (AUC) are to reinforce the institutional capacity of the national associations on the national and European levels, and to continue reinforcing their capacity building in terms of advocacy and knowledge hub.
The Peer exchange comprised three steps:
- Presentation of the current situation and main priority areas from NALAG
- Facilitated exchange between NALAG and peer LGAs on identified priority areas
- Team reflection to present and discuss results, recommendations, and next steps.
The Peer Exchange Process includes the development of an action plan with key challenges and recommendations from partner LGAs.
