Register now to the EU-Eastern Partnership Local Leaders’ Forum!
The second European Union-Eastern Partnership Local Leaders’ Forum dedicated to “Solidarity and cooperation: how to be stronger together in the coming years?” is taking place on 12 November online.
The event is being organised by the Latvian Association of Local and Regional Governments (LALRG) in cooperation with PLATFORMA and the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR), with the support of the European Commission, the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Latvia, and Riga City Council.
The European Union-Eastern Partnership Local Leaders’ Forum is already taking place for the second year in a row. 2020 is a crucial year for municipalities to make their views and interests following the publication of the European Union’s Communication on “Eastern Partnership policy beyond 2020”.
Discussions will be held on the future of Eastern Partnership policy, followed by two panel discussion sessions on local and regional governments’ contribution to the European Green Deal and on public reforms and SDGs implementation. In the afternoon, the session on “The role of youth in policy and civic participation” which will start at 13:00 (CET) is organised in cooperation with CEMR.
The Forum will be held on 12 November at 9.00 (CET) as an online event using Zoom. The working languages are Latvian, English and Russian (simultaneous interpretation will be provided).
Please register for the event before 9 November. The link to join the Zoom meeting will be sent out to registered participants shortly before the event.
