Online training on sustainable development from the perspective of local cooperation
An online training on « Local authorities and implementation of SDG 11 » is carried out in the framework of the ACCIONAD_ODS project, funded by the Interreg Spain-Portugal Programme (POCTEP) 2014-2020, and led by the Andalusian Agency for Development Cooperation (AACID). It will take place between 8 June and 20 September.
This project also involves Portuguese partners from Alentejo and Algarve (IN LOCO Association and the Marques de Valle Flor Institute) as well as Extremadura (FELCODE and AEXCID) and Andalusia (FAMSI) in order to promote a cross-border territorial approach to the achievement of the SDG 11, 12 and 13 targets, involving and strengthening the capacities of both local administrations and civil society entities.
It is aimed at strengthening territorial capacities to implement the 2030 Agenda, especially SDG 11 on Sustainable Cities and Communities, in the municipal and provincial space of the regions of Andalusia, Extremadura, Algarve and Alentejo, seeking to generate synergies of high added value among the participants. The course is aimed at policy makers and technical staff of local governments, as well as professionals from entities interested in the 2030 Agenda and in the SDG localisation processes.
