Discover how Gersthofen in Germany is presenting its partnership with Baringo County in Kenya:
Project to collect drinking water at the deafblind school in Kabernet.
By expanding an existing borehole and building a water kiosk, clean drinking water can be offered to students, school staff and private households in the area. In this way, the drinking water supply for many local people is secured in the long term.
In terms of content, the project fits in very well with the municipal climate partnership between Baringo County and Gersthofen, in which improving the water supply is also an important topic.
In the meantime, we have built up a very good network in Baringo County. This starts with the cooperation of the various schools, the hospitals, etc. We also have good connections to the local politicians up to the governor of Baringo County. We also receive support from the Chamber of Commerce, comparable to the IHK in Germany.
Our goal is to create a good project in Baringo Central through water harvesting, water quality improvement and water distribution).
