Webinar | More than good Goals!, by ICLD
Live-streamed panel discussion on how local goverments can use the voluntary local reviews for pathways towards the SDGs.
Date and time: 5 May at 15:00 CEST
Duration: 1 hour
Background:
Local governments around the world have started to implement the so called “Voluntary Local Reviews -VLRs” to report on their advances and challenges to achieve the 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This panel brings together local government officials from the cities of Malmö, Riga, Cape Town and Buenos Aires to share their experiences in the process of reporting progress on the SDGs. Panellists will discuss: How can we engage with local communities in the reporting process? What are the lessons learnt? And why are VLRs a key methodology to move from goals to action? This panel is jointly organized by the Swedish International Centre for Local Democracy (ICLD), UN habitat and United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG).
