International Award UCLG – Mexico City – Culture 21 | Don’t miss the 7th edition!
The International Award UCLG – Mexico City – Culture 21 recognises cities and individuals who have distinguished themselves in the promotion of cultural rights for local sustainable development. This edition will focus on cultural rights, policies of care, and gender equality.
This Award is unique, the only one at a global level to recognise a city, local or regional government whose cultural policy has contributed significantly to linking culture (heritage, diversity, creativity and transmission of knowledge) with democratic governance, citizen participation and sustainable development.
Applications are open until 12 March 2026 (participation is free of charge):
