The eighth edition of the forum “Cities and Regions for International Partnerships” (formerly called “Assises of Decentralised Cooperation”) will take place in Brussels on 30 November and 1 December 2023. Organised jointly by the European Commission and the European Committee of the Regions, this edition aims to reflect on the contribution of regions and cities to the EU Global gateway initiative and will focus on the following four thematic areas: Inclusion, Innovation and Investment at local level, and the role of Intermediary cities.

The specific ambition of the 2023 Forum is the one of concretely contributing with a “territorial approach” to the Global Gateway agenda, using the high potential of the decentralised cooperation and partnerships.
