AIMF | Local governance, global impact
On the occasion of the 98th meeting of the Bureau of the International Association of Francophone Mayors (AIMF), the Mayors of some twenty capitals and metropolises of Africa, America, Asia and Europe will meet in Paris, from 27 to 29 April, at the invitation of its Mayor Mrs. Anne Hidalgo, President of the AIMF.
In a world in multiple crises, the Presidency of the AIMF will notably welcome the Mayors and Mayors of Abidjan, Liège, Kinshasa, Quebec, Rabat, Geneva, Montreal… With the aim of building together and in enriching with the diversity of points of view, an ever more impactful city governance in the face of major global challenges.
After the 1st COP of cities organised last July in Abidjan and the end of 2022 focused on City Diplomacy, this meeting will focus on 3 local governance topics that have a significant capacity to transform cities and urban societies:
- Major urban projects, catalysts for a responsible, social and solidarity economy
- Mayors and democracy facing hate speeches
- Diasporas and territorial development: cross-opportunities
