The word is out: the CIB Annual Meeting 2026 will take place as part of the official programme of the UCLG World Congress in Tangier, Morocco. The Congress will take place from 22 to 25 June and is hosted by the Moroccan Association of Presidents of Municipal Councils (AMPCC) and the City of Tangier.

The UCLG World Congress is the flagship gathering of cities, regions, and their associations, bringing together mayors, governors, councillors, civil society partners, and representatives from the international system from around the globe.

 Who can participate in the CIB annual meeting?
The CIB annual meeting is a space for exchange among practitioners working on local government development cooperation projects at local government associations or cities. We encourage associations and cities to invite their international partners to the meeting. We also encourage associations to bring one or more of their members along to the meeting, to make sure that both associations ánd cities are well-represented.
