PLATFORMA, UCLG and the Latin American section of UCLG, FEMP, AEBR, CPMR, Regions United-FOGAR and the Barcelona Province organise a seminar with local elected representatives from Latin America, so as to strengthen work areas developed in the context of the Structured dialogue.

Taking place in the context of the Congress of Cities and Local Governments of Latin America, the seminar will aim at informing participants of the European development agenda, particularly on the upcoming EC communication on local and regional authorities ; exchange of information on development cooperation in the domain of public safety ; identifying lessons learnt with regards to the successful implementation of development programmes and finally contribute to develop research in the field of associations of LRA.

This is the second of six seminars; the remaining events will be organised in the Maghreb, Machrek, Asia-Pacific and Eurasia regions. These events will take place in the scope of a work programme specifically designed for partner countries and implemented from 2012 to 2015.
