This event is co-organised by UNITAR, the UN Joint Migration and Development Initiative (JMDI), the IOM and the World Bank. This event, which was launched at the UN General Assembly in 2013, offers an opportunity to explore how good practices can be replicated in other cities, and to identify the resources required for implementation. In addition, it acts as a bridge, opening access for local governments to policy circles where they can inform, and be informed by, national and international policy-making.

This year, the Forum will launch a study outlining a set of guidelines on integration migration into decentralised cooperation. This study will act as a guide for local governments with practical examples and recommendations.
