CEMR and PLATFORMA are hiring!

20 December 2018

CEMR and PLATFORMA are looking for three new specific profiles. Application is open until 9 January 2019 by midnight for the three positions.

Local governments play a crucial role in providing a peaceful, prosperous, social and sustainable environment to the citizens on our continent and in the world, as enshrined in the Agenda 2030 and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Within the framework of the PLATFORMA project, CEMR is currently recruiting a SDGs’ International Officer.

CEMR work programme is currently organised around the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). CEMR activities are also closely complemented by related project activities and PLATFORMA has been a network run by CEMR and many partners for over ten years.

The proposed contract will start from 1st March 2019 and until 28 February 2021.

CEMR is the European section of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), the worldwide organisation of local government. UCLG next Congress will take place in November 2019 and their statutory bodies will be renewed in the course of the year. CEMR is looking for an International Affairs – Statutory Officer to assist the Secretary General in the preparation of the UCLG Congress and the representation of the European section of UCLG in the next period.

The proposed contract will start as soon as possible and until 20 December 2019.

Every four years, CEMR organises a Congress with around 1 000 participants; this is the main event of our organisation, and largest congress of local and regional representatives in Europe.

Our next Congress will take place in Innsbruck (Austria) in May 2020 and the main focus will be the localisation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This event is hosted by the City of Innsbruck and coordinated with two of CEMR local members – the Austrian association of Cities and Towns and the Austrian association of Municipalities.

We are currently looking for an Event Officer to support CEMR Secretariat in the preparation of the Congress, in particular the organisation of the sessions and in related activities.

The proposed contract will start as soon as possible and until 30 June 2020.
