Connective Cities virtual dialogue event for LGAs on localising the SDGs
Deutscher Städtetag (the Association of German Cities) is hosting the “Connective Cities virtual dialogue event for LGAs on localising the SDGs” on 1, 2 and 4 September in cooperation with PLATFORMA, UCLG and UCLG Learning.
The aim of the virtual exchange is to get to know best practice examples on localising the SDGs from LGAs.
Here, the interest is mainly in pragmatic solutions and approaches that can be applied or adapted to the
different regional contexts (Day 1).
Furthermore the virtual event will offer a platform to discuss the challenges among peers around the
theme of localising the SDGs (Day 2) and support municipalities in developing new joint project ideas
among peers that can be further implemented in the respective LGAs or in the framework of existing or
new thematic project partnerships (Day 3).
During this event, PLATFORMA will present its latest study with the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) entitled “The 2030 Agenda through the eyes of local and regional governments’ associations”.
