Final conference “NOPLANETB: Together is better!”
The project “There is NOPLANETB! Win-win strategies and small actions for big impacts on climate change” will promote the online final conference “NOPLANETB: Together is better! How innovative alliances can encourage a greater impact for climate action”, on 20-21 April 2021.
NOPLANET is a project co-funded project by the European Commission, under the DEAR programme. It involves 6 countries: Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Romania and Hungary.
It aims to contribute to the development of knowledge and critical understanding among EU citizens on global interdependence and of a sense of co-responsibility of European society on climate change. Through the engagement of small and medium-sized CSOs active in campaigning and advocacy on environment to promote effective actions for the benefit of European Citizens on climate change and sustainable living.
This event is part of the implementation plan and aims to promote the discussion around key questions:
- What constitutes a win-win climate action and why it can be a strength?
- How can we reach out to those less convinced or able to contribute to a change and make their contribution count?
- How political decision making can be better influenced with alliances?
In a conversation conducted by the Italian Environmental Journalist Emanuele Bompan, key stakeholders (The Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASviS), DEAR Programme, Global Compact Network Italia , Climate Alliance, C40; Sustainable Development and Climate Change Observatory for Iberoamerica , among other) will explore the necessary ingredients to make climate actions and alliances work better to achieve 2030 Agenda and Green Deal’s goals.
