PLATFORMA Webinar on “Adaptation to climate – building resilience at local and regional levels”
Following the adoption in February, of an EU strategy on adaptation to climate change, DG Clima is building its programming frame for its international action.
As a significant part of the new Global Europe instrument will be dedicated to climate change and the Green deal, PLATFORMA and the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) are organising a webinar on the “adaptation to climate change – building resilience at local and regional levels” where partners will present their actions and priorities in that field.
It will take place on Tuesday 27 April from 11.00 to 12.30 CEST.
This is key for PLATFORMA to demonstrate the crucial role of Local and Regional Governments in building more resilient societies.
Among the speakers are:
- Visnar Malinovska, Euroepan Commission Head of Unit, DG Clima
- Monica Silvana Gonzalez, MEP, DEVE Committee, on her draft report on the Impact of Climate Change on vulnerable populations in developing countries
- Sophie De Coninck, UN Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), on the UN facility LoCAL
- Aurélie Godefroy, European Commission, DG INTPA
