Second Annual Meeting of the Global Platform for Sustainable Cities

The Global Platform for Sustainable Cities (GPSC) Annual Meeting is a yearly event that brings together mayors, city leaders, experts, representatives from financial institutions, organizations, UN agencies and private sector to learn and share best practices principles in order to forge a common vision of urban sustainability. This year’s edition is taking place in New Delhi, India from October 30th to November 2nd.

The GPSC is led by the World Bank in collaboration with other multilateral development banks and UN agencies. The GPSC currently covers 27 cities across 11 pilot countries and is interested in more cities to join them.

The GPSC 2017 Meeting theme is “Innovation & Smart Solutions for Urban Sustainability”. This theme will be illustrated through a Mayor’s Round Table, high-level panel discussions and a series of in-depth learning events

 

The World Bank is supporting Mayors willing to participate in the political “Mayors Roundtable” on October 31st. Limited funds are available to support travel and accommodation.
