The UN General Assembly will hold a one-day special event to follow up efforts made towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). This will represent the occasion for leaders to identify remaining actions to undertake in the framework of the MDG process and to provide guidance on priorities to focus on.

The event is expected to include the launch of the UN Secretary-General’s report on the MDGs and post-2015 development agenda.
