The UCLG-CIB Working Group invites local governments, LGAs, gender practitioners and partners to join a global webinar focused on strengthening gender equality advocacy within Local Government Associations (LGAs).

LGAs have a unique role in promoting women’s political leadership, addressing gender-based violence in politics and advocating for equal pay in public service. During this session, the CIB Working Group will launch the new UCLG-CIB Tool for Effective Gender Equality Advocacy, designed to support LGAs in influencing national policies, legislation and programmes.

Speakers include:

• Vanesa Corrales Argumánez, Project Manager, Les Elegides, Fons Mallorquí (Spain)
• Sebastien Hamel & Hadeel Khasanweh, Nexus Cooperation (developers of the tool)

Participants will:
• Hear real-life advocacy examples from LGAs in different regions
• Explore practical approaches to structuring and strengthening advocacy initiatives
• Take part in short interactive exchanges
• Connect with peers working on gender equality in local governance
