“UN Global Goals – Triggering a wave of local actions in Europe and beyond”
The Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) and PLATFORMA are organising a joint event “UN Global Goals – Triggering a wave of local actions in Europe and beyond” on 29 May 2017, in Brussels (rue de la Science, 14 B ).
Save the date and benefit from the opportunity to get inspired by your peers and share your experiences. The event will showcase good practices and empower all local and regional government participants to take local actions for the global goals. We encourage all member and partner associations to mobilise their thematic experts to join the exchanges.
The United Nations’ Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development has identified 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which address many issues belonging to local and regional governments’ prerogatives (such as economic, social, gender equality and environmental issues). These goals are universal and require the involvement of key players such as local and regional governments to be implemented and achieved.
Afternoon programme (for PLATFORMA partners and CEMR members only)
