Germany: The Club of the 2030 Agenda municipalities postpones its fifth annual meeting

2 June 2020

Because of the COVID19-pandemic the fifth annual meeting of the Club of the 2030 Agenda municipalities has been postponed to the 1st and 2nd of October 2020.

Under the slogan “Only ten years left – the Agenda 2030’s home stretch” the Association of German Cities, the German section of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (RGRE) and the Service Agency Communities in One World invite German municipalities to Leipzig in order to exchange their expectations and experiences in implementing the Agenda 2030.

Acknowledging this year’s developments, the event will pay special attention to the corona crises’ impact on the efforts made by cities, towns and administrative districts in fostering sustainability. The meeting aims at all German municipalities which signed or want to sign the resolution “2030 Agenda for sustainable development: implementing sustainability on the local level” by the Association of German Cities.
