The Mayor of Dijon elected new president of Cités Unies France

The Mayor of Dijon and President of Dijon Métropole (France), François Rebsamen, was elected new president of Cités Unies France during the first meeting of the management board on 13 October 2020, following the General Assembly held on the same day.

During this meeting, the elected members of Cités Unies France proceeded to the election of their new Presidents. Roland Ries, former Mayor of Strasbourg and outgoing President of Cités Unies France opened the meeting and facilitated the discussions. His decisive role in favor of the transformation of the association was underlined, as well as the permanent dialogue he was able to conduct with members, the French government and all stakeholders.

“I will be keen to bolster diversity within our association; beyond political cleavages, my presidency will be placed under the sign of dialogue and gathering around common issues and values to promote the development of the international action by local and regional authorities,” declared François Rebsamen at the announcement of the results of the ballot.

The vice-presidents are:

  • Léonore Moncond’Huy, Mayor of Poitiers and Vice-Présidente of “Grand Poitiers”
  • Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice and President of the Metropole of Nice Côte d’Azur
  • Samia Ghali, Deputy Mayor of Marseille

Benoît Pilet, Deputy Mayor of Angers and Vice-President of Angers Loire Métropole was elected secretary

Valérie Dumontet, Vice-President off the Aude Department was elected vice-Secretary

Jean-Claude Dardelet, Deputy Mayor of Toulouse, Vice-President of Toulouse Metropole, was elected Treasurer

Flavie Boukhenoufa, Deputy Mayor of Rennes, Councilor of Rennes Metropole, was elected vice-Treasurer.
