New book on cross-border integration and paradiplomacy
On 18 September the publication Integración y paradiplomacia transfronteriza: experiencias comparadas del río Bravo hasta la Patagonia (Cross-border integration and paradiplomacy: comparative experiences from the Rio Grande to Patagonia) was launched in Madrid. This book has been developed with the support of the El Colegio de la Frontera Norte, Casa de México España and financed by the Association of European Border Regions (AEBR) and the Extremadura Agency for International Development Cooperation (AEXCID).
This book presents arguments from various perspectives based on practical experiences and cases in Latin America on the growing link between international action of local governments and borders, with the goal of creating viable sustainable development in the context of the United Nations’ Agenda 2030.
This work can be considered one of the most important in the fields of paradiplomacy, cross-border and international cooperation and with inter and multidisciplinary approaches and in the areas of environment, security, development, regional integration, migration and well-being.
