International Association of French-speaking Mayors

AIMF is a network of francophone cities and associations of cities which share common values. Its objectives are to improve local management, to promote exchange of experience, to mobilise the expertise acquired by the cities in order to provide services in other countries and to finance development projects. AIMF has members in 50 countries.

Its mission is to mobilise governments at all levels, as well as the civil society and international partners. Its work is based on two central themes: decentralisation and local government and sustainable socio-economic development.

Since its creation, AIMF supported almost 1,000 projects in the domains of water and decontamination, sustainable development, economic development, health, education and patrimony.
