Discover the activities organised in the Province of Barcelona during the EDLS
Twenty activities were organised in the municipalities of the Province of Barcelona during the European Days of Local Solidarity (15 to 30 November 2019), which reached out directly to more than 600 people! The video produced by DIBA showcases the diversity and richness of activities that municipalities of the province of Barcelona hosted during the European Days of Local Solidarity.
The participation of the Province of Barcelona in the 2019 European Days of Local Solidarity was promoted and coordinated by the Bureau for Development Cooperation of the Government of the Province of Barcelona (DIBA) and met a great involvement of cities and NGOs from the province such as the town councils of Calella, Canet de Mar, Esplugues de Llobregat, Granollers, Manlleu, Montornès del Vallès, Sabadell, Sant Adrià del Besòs, Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Santa Coloma de Cervelló, Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Terrassa and Vacarisses, as well as of the United Nations Association of Spain (ANUE).
In addition, the Network of Municipal Libraries of the province of Barcelona was actively involved in the campaign through the organisation of activities in seven libraries in different municipalities of the province, thus contributing to the promotion of a responsible citizenship with global development. In the framework of the EDLS campaign, DIBA also organised a seminar on “Development cooperation policies of small and medium-sized municipalities ”.
