500 participants at Cités Unies France 12th “Rencontres” of the International action of local authorities
Another success for Cités Unies France annual “Rencontres” of the International action of local authorities! 500 participants representing 30 countries met in Paris on 29 June, despite still restrictive sanitary measures.
The common thematic “the International action of local authorities at the heart of global issues – engagements and solutions for the climate” enabled participants to mobilise and encourage the commitment of new elected officials from French local and regional governments.
These “Rencontres” enabled French and foreign local and regional governments to exchange views, gather approaches and create links and opportunities for cooperation.
Frédéric Vallier, CEMR Secretary General, was taking part to the Plenary session (check this thread on Twitter), moderating the session “Financial tools for climate issues and the ecological transition” and the workshop “The SDGs – Sustainable Development Goals and decentralised cooperation: European perspectives” where he presented PLATFORMA-CEMR latest study on SDGs (check this thread on Twitter).
